BMC Gala 2009 Highlights Exceptional Maternity Care
The overwhelming success of the 2009 BMC Gala can once again be credited to BMC’s diligent and compassionate donors. An evening that highlighted BMC’s medical excellence in maternity care and honored mothers raised more than $2 million.
The money raised from the Gala will support the numerous and unique social programs that BMC offers, including the Birth Sisters Program, which offers women personalized and culturally sensitive support during pregnancy, childbirth and post-partum.
Three patients are featured in this year’s Gala video and have shared what BMC means to them. Nancye, a woman whose child was born with multiple abnormalities; Trinidad, a woman facing terminal cancer and focused on delivering a healthy baby; and Helen, a woman with Sickle Cell disease that was able to give birth to healthy twins.
Learn more about the personalized and supportive maternity care at BMC through the eyes of Nancye, Trinidad and Helen.
