Food for Thought

Unfortunately, due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, Boston Medical Center has made the difficult decision to transition the 2021 Food for Thought. This year, the hospital is excited to roll out its very own cookbook, One Table: Recipes Celebrating Community & the Moments that Bring Us Together. This hardcover, coffee table style cookbook will feature treasured recipes from local well-known chefs and BMC providers, patients and donors, as well as stories illustrating BMC’s pioneering, innovative care models that work toward health equity—the very “ingredients” that make BMC so special. Stay tuned for more details, and we look forward to seeing you in-person next year!

Every November, Boston Medical Center hosts its annual Food for Thought dinner—one of its oldest events—celebrating the successes of the hospital’s pediatric programs and raising critical funds to ensure it continues to meet the increasing needs of Boston’s children and families.

Past Event Details

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Food for Thought went virtual. The success of the event would not have been possible without the commitment and hard work of the Food for Thought committee, top sponsors, our Mistress of Ceremonies Reverend Liz Walker and our very special guests, including Governor of Massachusetts Charlie Baker. Thank you to all of our sponsors, staff and friends whose support of the 2020 Food for Thought raised more than $740,000 for the Grow Clinic, Food Pantry and its pediatric partner programs. To see photos from past years of Food for Thought and other BMC events, please click here.
