What inspires you when it comes to fashion?

I’m inspired by seeing how others interpret fashion–I love seeing colors and textures come together to create a look that makes the person feel confident.

In your own words, what makes Catwalk for BMC Cancer Care so special?

I love that Catwalk for BMC Cancer Care mixes fashion and fun to support the treatment and recovery of cancer patients, while shining light on patient experiences. These patients deserve to feel special and beautiful. It’s uplifting to see the fashion community of Boston come together to lend support to such a great cause.

How do you want BMC’s patients to feel when they are walking down the runway, wearing outfits your team has styled? How will you feel when you see them on the runway?

My team has done an amazing job pulling looks based on our models’ personalities and style. We want each person to feel confident on the runway, and more importantly, proud of themselves for all they have overcome. Our team will be so excited, cheering each model on, as they make their runway debuts!

How and why can clothing be so important in the way someone feels, especially for cancer patients?

No matter what the day may bring, you can set the tone by dressing yourself in clothes that make you feel confident and ready to take on anything. I hope our models feel empowered and inspired by the clothing and can learn the power that fashion has to transform you from the inside out.

Can you share with us what we can expect to see on the runway?

Lots of rich fall colors–deep burgundy, olive green and shades of blue mixed with some fun patterns and different textures.

What does it mean to you to be a part of this event?

Rue Gilt Groupe is honored and excited to support BMC through this incredible event. I am personally honored my team gets to work with patients first hand by making them feel beautiful and strong. We are truly inspired by everyone involved and cannot wait for the event on October 11!
