Celebration Cart Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to staff this newest undertaking of The Friends of Women’s Health. The celebration cart will be staffed by a volunteer who will bring refreshments and good cheer to cancer patients getting care in the Moakley building once a month.
Food Pantry Volunteers
The BMC Food Pantry accepts donations of nutritious food products year round. A Food Drive Coordinator will help volunteers get organized to collect specific food items that are needed by the Food Pantry.
Book Drive Volunteers
Volunteers are needed to work with the Coordinators to collect new and gently used children's and magazines for departments throughout the hospital. Book drives are organized through local schools and organizations to supply books to families in need at the hospital.
Cradles to Crayons Volunteers
Children's essentials are needed by families of BMC throughout the year. The Cradles to Crayons Coordinator will help connect BMC physicians and administrators with Cradles to Crayons, a non-profit organization, that provides new or gently used clothing and other essential items for children from birth to 16 years of age. Volunteers are needed to deliver the items to BMC from Cradles to Crayons for distribution on a regular basis.
Cancer Survivors Luncheon
This annual luncheon celebrates and supports hundreds of BMC cancer survivors. Volunteer coordinators organize every detail of the luncheon by sourcing donations of food, live music, flowers, transportation, raffle prizes, favors, photo supplies and more.
