Thanks to all who participated in the Rodman Ride for Kids on September 28, 2013!
The Ride starts in Foxboro, MA and riders may choose to ride 25, 50 or 100 miles. For more information on the ride itself, visit www.rodmanrideforkids.org.
The Team BMC Rodman Ride for Kids program helps raise awareness and important funds for pediatric programs at Boston Medical Center. Our patients are unique and require extra assistance to get the resources they need to achieve healthy lives. Approximately 73% of our patient visits come from underserved populations who rely on government payors such as Medicaid, the Health Safety Net and Medicare for their coverage. Often times, our patients struggle with life’s basic needs like food, clothing and shelter and do not put their health care, or the health care of their families, first. Boston Medical Center relies on philanthropy, from supporters like Team BMC, in order to maintain critical social outreach programs, like the Kids Fund that raises money to provide necessities not covered by medical insurance, like eyeglasses, winter coats and medicine to the thousands of pediatric patients served in the outpatient pediatric clinic; and the SPARK Center, that provides child care and therapeutic programs for some of Boston’s highest-risk children.
As a member of Team BMC, you will not only have a great cycling experience with friends, colleagues and family members, but you will also do your part to ensure that BMC continues to provide exceptional care without exception. There is a minimum fundraising goal of $1,500. You can ride solo or as part of a team!
