Alastair Bell, MD, MBA was recently named to Boston Magazine’s ‘150 Most Influential Bostonians’ list, recognizing those working to make Boston a better place. As president and interim CEO of the BMC Health System, Bell ensures that BMC, a national leader in health equity, continues to redefine what it means to bring exceptional care to those who need it most in Boston.

Bell currently oversees BMC Health System strategy and operations of its entities including Boston Medical Center, accountable care, and the WellSense Health Plan. He has helped guide BMC’s financial turnaround as well as the growth of the BMC Health System.
