Why We Run: Boston Marathon
Thanks to the Boston Athletic Association and John Hancock Financial, Team BMC has proudly participated in the Boston Marathon since 2002. To date, the program has raised more than $6.24 million for Boston Medical Center.
Team BMC runs for the hospital’s newest endeavor called Vision 2030, which aims to make Boston the healthiest urban population in the world by 2030. Vision 2030 encompasses the longstanding belief that when an organization invests in the root causes of urban health issues, the community and its people greatly benefit and thrive. Boston Medical Center will empower Boston, refining a system that works with stakeholders across the city to implement programs to improve overall health and create new partnerships as models for innovation, efficiency and replication.
