Boston Medical Center is proud to have a team of athletes supporting our mission by participating in the 130th Boston Marathon® presented by Bank of America. These dedicated Team BMC members choose to make their miles even more meaningful by fundraising for BMC’s work to make world-class healthcare accessible to all.
How to Join
We’re not just looking for runners—we are looking for BMC ambassadors who are passionate about our mission. As a Team BMC member, you’ll share BMC with your networks and raise critical funds to support its patients, caregivers, and programs. The fundraising minimum for accepted runners for 2026 is $10,000.
Apply online. Our team will review your application and reach out with next steps. We have a limited number of spots, and athletes are accepted on a rolling basis.
Email Team.BMC@bmc.org if you are a 2026 Boston Marathon® qualifier and already have a bib from the B.A.A. The fundraising minimum for 2026 qualified runners is $2,500 and team members receive all the same resources and incentives.

Your Impact
BMC is home to expert clinicians and cutting-edge treatments. We’re also creating programs that meet patients’ needs holistically. Funds raised through the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program support this work—much of it not reimbursed by insurance—that drives better health outcomes for everyone. Here are just a few examples of what philanthropy makes possible at BMC:
- Wealth = Health: Wealth is linked to health. That’s why BMC created an Economic Justice Hub to increase economic opportunity for patients and families through financial coaching, pathways to jobs, free tax preparation services, and more.
- Food is Medicine: Our hospital-based food pantry, the first-of-its-kind in the nation, distributes more than 1 million pounds of nutritious food to patients and their families each year. BMC’s Teaching Kitchen uses fresh ingredients in our healthy cooking and nutrition classes for our community. Some of the fresh produce used by these programs is grown on our two Rooftop Farms.
- Greatest Needs: Helping patients secure safe housing. Expanding critical mental health services. Increasing access to clinical trials and groundbreaking research. Your support enables our team of experts, innovators, and advocates to respond to patients’ emerging needs and make our city healthier.
