Ten years ago Dante’s chances of survival were nearly as small as he was. Born 13 weeks early, and weighing less than two pounds, he spent nearly two months in BMC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, reeling from the effects of prenatal drug exposure. But little by little, before our eyes Dante kept gaining weight and healing until he was strong enough to go home. He was tiny, but he was born a fighter.
